How To Measure Cabinets For New Doors
All our kitchen units and cupboard doors are made to measure, so whatever size and style of units you already have, we can easily manufacture replacements that fit neatly into the available space to. Round all measurements off to the nearest 1/32 of an inch.

You will want to do this in every area you want cabinets because ceiling height can vary even in the same room.
How to measure cabinets for new doors. If you must, it is always better to round down than round up. If you are covering a single opening with two doors which meet in the middle, just add 1 (or your desired overlay to the each side of the opening width), divide by 2 and subtract 1/16 from each. Measure from the floor to the underside of the trim at the top of the door.
The formula for calculating the size of a correctly sized cabinet door with a ½ inch overlay door is: Measure from corners to any windows or doors and the distance between windows and doors. Evaluate the state and layout of your current cabinets.
Measuring drawer fronts is similar to the methods used for cabinet doors. Make sure to include any toe kicks, countertops, frameless doors… Subtract 3/16″ from both the height and width to get the door dimensions you need for ordering.
